Finals

Important Information

  • The Duty Officer is also the Referee.
  • No player shall be eligible to play in any finals match unless she has played in her section in at least five matches.
  • Emergencies to have played at least 5 matches in the season
  • A player whose team plays in finals is not eligible to play as an emergency in any other finals team.

Finalists

  • Finalists are required to be at the stadium at 9.15am and the Captain is to hand a list of the order of players to the Referee by 9.20am to enable games to start promptly at 9.30am.
  • Finals must be played in the correct order of play, i.e. 2 & 4 play first.  If unable to play first, 21 match points will be forfeited to the opposing team.

Linespeople

  • Linespeople are to be at the stadium for doubles competition at 9.20am and are not to leave until last game is played.
  • It would be appreciated if everyone could stay for presentations.
  • Linespeople are required to sign in on arrival.
  • If unable to attend for linesduty you must arrange a substitute player.

There will be a fine for non-attendance for linesduty of $10.00 and a fine of $5.00 for late arrival and/or early departure of linesperson

Matches and Linesduties for Finals

7 or 8 teams in a section

  • *FIRST SEMI FINAL                3RD TEAM  V  4TH TEAM

Linesduty – 7th & 8th teams (4 persons each)

Court Marshall will be Captain of 7th team.

  • *SECOND SEMI FINAL           1ST TEAM  V  2ND TEAM

Linesduty – 5th & 6th teams (4 persons each)

Court Marshall will be Captain of 5th team.

*Both semi finals are held on same day.

  • PRELIMINARY FINAL        

(WINNER OF 1ST SEMI FINAL  V  LOSER OF 2ND SEMI FINAL)

Linesduty – 2nd semi winners & 1st semi losers (4 persons each)

Court Marshall will be the Winner of the 2nd semi final Captain.

  • GRAND FINAL          

(WINNER OF 2ND SEMI FINAL  V  WINNER OF PRELIM. FINAL)

Linesduty – All teams not in Grand Final (at least 3 persons each)

Court Marshall will be Captain of loser of Preliminary Final.

5 or 6 teams in a section

  • PRELIMINARY FINAL              2ND TEAM  V  3RD TEAM

       Linesduty – All teams not in preliminary final (4 persons each).

Court Marshall will be Captain of team finishing 4th.

  • GRAND FINAL

(1ST TEAM  V  WINNER OF PRELIMINARY FINAL)

Linesduty – All teams not in Grand Final (at least 3 persons each).

Court Marshall will be Captain of loser in Preliminary Final

4 teams in a section

  • GRAND FINAL ONLY              1ST TEAM  V  2ND TEAM

Linesduty – All teams not in Grand Final (at least 3 persons each). Court Marshall will be Captain of team finishing 4th.
